The Pilot Launch

Ten stores in the Twin Cities stock the products. They sit beside sodas and juices. Buyers must be 21 or older. Each serving caps at 5 mg THC.

Brands on Shelves

The lineup features twelve options:

  • Cann

  • Wynk

  • Stigma

  • Wonder

  • Señorita

  • Wyld

  • Trail Magic

  • Birdie

  • Surly

  • Gigli

  • Hi Seltzer

  • Indeed

Local names like Surly and Trail Magic lead the mix.

Timing and Risks

Congress eyes a hemp ban. Senator Rand Paul warns of quick approval. States act faster. Ohio's governor halted hemp THC sales via executive order. Wisconsin lawmakers push a permanent ban.

Minnesota allows hemp-derived THC under 0.3% delta-9. The state legalized adult-use cannabis in 2023.

Future Plans

Target calls this a pilot. Success could spread to more Minnesota spots. Expansion might reach other legal states. The industry watches. Normalization hangs in the balance
