Cannabis dispensary bursts into flames in Irvington, New Jersey

A 3-alarm fire broke out at a cannabis dispensary on Clinton Avenue in Irvington, New Jersey, around 3 a.m. on Saturday. The flames started on the second floor of the building, prompting a heavy response from firefighters. Two firefighters were injured during the effort—one with a shoulder injury and the other with an eye injury. Both were taken to a hospital and later released. Fortunately, no one was inside the dispensary at the time, and no additional injuries occurred. Crews managed to control the blaze by about 4:30 a.m. Officials are currently investigating the cause of the fire, with no preliminary findings released yet. The incident highlights ongoing safety concerns for cannabis-related businesses in the area.
