Colorado officials issued a health and safety notice for marijuana flower contaminated with excessive yeast, mold, and/or Aspergillus, produced by Sweetwater Group, LLC, and sold from November 16, 2025, to February 3, 2026, in 31 stores statewide. Affected areas include Denver metro, Boulder, Colorado Springs, Eastern Plains, foothills, Pueblo, and Western Slope. The company initiated a voluntary recall after levels exceeded state limits. Authorities from the Department of Revenue and Department of Public Health and Environment advise consumers to destroy affected products or return them to purchase stores for disposal. Those experiencing health issues after use should seek medical care immediately and report via the Marijuana Enforcement Division form. Buyers are urged to check labels and batch numbers if containers remain. A full list of stores, strains, and batches is available. The notice highlights risks from microbial contamination in legal cannabis, prompting swift action to protect public health and ensure compliance with state safety guidelines.
