Florida Updating Medical Marijuana Registry to Improve Access and Usability

05-14-2025

According to OMMU, the state’s Medical Marijuana Use Registry is receiving updates to its infrastructure and security. In addition to improved performance, the update will bring several user-friendly enhancements for patients and caregivers.

Among the changes are a redesigned user profile, an improved application process for electronic medical marijuana cards, and a more detailed order history that clearly shows what has been purchased and dispensed. For the first time, patients and caregivers will also be able to easily track how much marijuana has been purchased in each category—such as flower, edibles, and sublingual products—as well as how much remains available for purchase under their monthly limit.

Caregivers will gain access to a new Documentation Dashboard, which provides easier access to required forms and supporting documents.

The updates are part of an effort by OMMU to make the registry easier to navigate and more transparent for patients. The agency says those with questions can contact them Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET by calling 850-245-4657 (option 1), or by emailing MedicalMarijuanaUse@FLHealth.gov.
