New Mexico Zoo Turns to CBD to Help Aging Animals Thrive. Hillcrest Park Zoo in Clovis, New Mexico, partners with Enchanted Desert Farms to provide CBD oil to senior animals with arthritis and mobility issues. Tiger Sooner (15) stopped harsh liver-damaging medications like tramadol; now on donated CBD, he's more active, jumping, playing, and resuming target training. Timberwolf Katie (15, beyond typical wild lifespan) appears more alert and bright-eyed. Both are off most prior meds except bone vitamins. Farm owners Sam and Rachel Viscaino tailor CBD by terpenes for symptom relief, extending help from people to animals. Zoo director Stephanie Chavez praised the noticeable improvements and the donors' generosity. Plans may include more senior animals. The farm also donates to local pets and shelters for anxiety/pain.
