Mike Tyson, Ric Flair claim fraud in celebrity cannabis brand efforts. Boxing legend Mike Tyson and wrestling icon Ric Flair filed a federal lawsuit in Illinois accusing former Carma executives and shareholders of fraud in celebrity cannabis branding deals. The 76-page complaint alleges wire fraud, embezzlement, money laundering, and a "brazen conspiracy" where defendants treated Carma as a personal fund, made unauthorized side deals, inflated company value for profit, and solicited gifts like Rolex watches instead of proper fees. Specific claims include unauthorized sales of likenesses to vapes and cultivators, forming entities like Ric Flair Drip Inc. without consent, and conflicts involving Captor Capital and unpaid deals worth over $1.25 million. The suit seeks over $50 million in damages. Defendants dismissed it as "pure fiction" and a shakedown, with no response filed yet. Other celebrities like Future faced similar unauthorized licensing issues.
