Study: CBD-Rich Cannabis Oil Linked to Reduced ADHD Symptoms in Children and Young Adults With Autism

CBD-rich cannabis oil may reduce ADHD symptoms in autistic children and young adults. A Tel Aviv University study in Current Neuropharmacology followed 109 participants, using teacher assessments via Conners’ Scale over 3-6 months. Significant improvements appeared in hyperactivity, impulsivity, emotional instability, anxiety, and overall ADHD scores. Some links tied higher CBD blood levels to better emotional regulation. This first teacher-based prospective study suggests cannabinoids for comorbid cases unresponsive to traditional treatments. Open-label design calls for controlled trials.
