Are cannabis consumers vaping more? According to recent data from Grandview Research, the dry herb vaporizer segment was valued at around $2.8 billion in 2024 and is expected to reach $6.06 billion by 2030, growing at a projected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of about 13.9% (2025–2030). Global cannabis companies like PAX are noticing a potential trend on the horizon.
Health consciousness and discretion are likely driving the rise in sales of cannabis vape products. A handful of highly-regulated markets also have non-combustion rules in place, also driving vape sales. The other reason is a leap in vaporizer product technology. This is precisely why some companies are back in the lab to engineer new combustion-free ways to consume flower.
Today PAX unveiled the FLOW, a portable dry herb vaporizer. It’s a combustion-free device that aims for superior vapor performance, flavor, and ease of use. It’s designed for the modern health-conscious consumer looking for convenience.
“Tesla didn’t win people over by preaching about emissions," says Tacy. "They built a car that was simply better to drive. FLOW does the same for cannabis. It delivers a smoother, simpler, full -spectrum experience that just also happens to be better for you. That’s how you drive a category forward.”
Vaporizers may also be more efficient, preserving up to 30% more cannabinoids that are otherwise lost to combustion. Lighter flames burn at a high temperature and destroy some of these cannabinoids in flower before they break down.
“There are still many consumers out there who have never heard of dry herb vaping," says Tacy. "We’re here to show them that there’s a better way to experience aroma and flavor, to preserve the active cannabis compounds, and to take the experience on the go. It’s no longer a niche category—we’re redefining what modern cannabis consumption looks like, and the projected 14% global growth underscores that the demand is there.”
Research continues to suggest that younger consumers are choosing healthier delivery methods. The North America cannabis vaporizer market made up a 38.26% share of the overall revenue in 2024.
“As cannabis consumers grow more discerning, they’re increasingly steering clear of combustion, not just for the flavor and benefits, but also for what it leaves out," says Tacy. "Dry herb vaping offers the purest true-to-flower experience, delivering full terpene profiles, portability and control, without the harsh byproducts. That’s why we built FLOW—for people who respect the plant and want to access it without compromise.”
Recently, PAX teamed up with Zentrela, a Canadian neuroscience team, to explore the “entourage effect,” a synergistic effect of combining compounds and terpenes in cannabis, which may be more potent and beneficial than any single compound alone. Quality vaporizer products are helping to provide ways to preserve some of these minor cannabinoids for a different effect. With the addition of the FLOW, more consumers can discover for themselves if they’re ready to go combustion-free.
