The Virginia Cannabis Control Authority (CCA) has partnered with TheAnswerPage.com to launch an optional online training program for practitioners, aimed at enhancing patient care through education on medical cannabis. The three-course bundle covers the endocannabinoid system, therapeutic uses of cannabis, clinical considerations, the use of CBD in clinical care, and details about Virginia’s medical cannabis program. The training is accredited for physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and dentists, allowing participants to earn up to 5 CME/CE credits.
CCA Acting Head and Chief Administrative Officer Jamie Patten stated, “This training empowers practitioners to meet their patients where they are. Patients often come to their doctors with questions about cannabis, but many providers aren’t sure how to respond. This optional course gives them the science-based foundation they need to feel confident in those conversations.”
The course costs $189.99, with the first 100 practitioners to sign up eligible for a 20% discount using the code VACANNABIS20 at checkout.
